DUBAI: At least 41 people were killed in a fire in a residential building in Kuwait’s southern city of Mangaf on Wednesday morning, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad.
The deputy prime minister said that the real estate owners are the cause of this factor.
Authorities were first notified at 6:00 a.m. local time by Major General Gurban Rashed Hamad.
“The building where the fire started was used for domestic workers and there were many workers there. Dozens of people were rescued, but unfortunately many people died from smoke inhalation from the fire,” he said. said state television.
“We are always alert and warn that many workers enter the settlement,” without giving details about the type of work or the origin of the workers.
Officials said there was a fire and authorities are investigating the cause.
