Islamabad: Finance and Revenue Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Monday praised the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for exceeding the revenue collection target for the fiscal year 2023-24, amounting to $9.311 billion.
The Minister visited FBR headquarters and met FBR Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana and members of the Board.
Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervez Malik also participated in the meeting through video link.
The Minister expressed confidence in the capabilities of the FBR and hoped that the Board would continue to play an important role in achieving the government’s financial goals.
The State Minister also thanked the FBR team for exceeding the annual revenue target despite various challenges and problems.
Mohammed Aurangzeb and FBR Chairman and Council members cut the cake for not only achieving but also surpassing the FBR revenue collection target for the financial year 2023-2024. The meeting emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthen the FBR and support its initiatives to improve revenue collection, digitization and economic documentation.
