The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has allowed former Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry to travel abroad for two weeks starting from August 10 to August 24.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq presided over the hearing on Chaudhry’s request to leave the country. During the proceedings, the deputy chief prosecutor asked for an additional period to submit a response.
Earlier on July 5, the Islamabad High Court heard Fawad Chaudhry’s plea to have his name removed from the travel restriction list.
The court summoned a Home Ministry representative to appear in person on July 9, and the CJ criticized the government for indiscriminately placing names on travel ban lists.
