MARDAN: A 2-day “Family Festival and Expo” on the arrival of New Year at Zamong Park Mardan organized jointly by Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and City Local Government Mardan, In which Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir, Mayor Mardan Himayat Ullah Mayar, Central Organization of Traders Provincial General Secretary Zahir Shah cut the ribbon and inaugurated it. The members of Mardan Chamber and the business community participated in large numbers on this occasion. On this occasion, more than 30 stalls were set up by local traders which included various brands of local food, clothing, decoration, culture and others, as well as detergent and soap items. On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Mardan Azmatullah Wazir while addressing the event said that the district administration will do its best for the development and prosperity of Mardan and all the problems of the businessmen will be solved at their doorstep. The Deputy Commissioner assured full cooperation with all the business community. He said that investors are being brought to this district so that the local people will benefit from the economic activities. Deputy Commissioner Mardan Dr. Azmatullah Wazir while appreciating the wide range of innovations and technological advancements presented at the exhibition hoped that such events would spur further development in the renewable energy sector. Mayor Mardan Himayat Ullah Mayar said in his address that Mardan has become a big center in terms of trade. The business system is moving towards further expansion. Hundreds of employees are involved in the business in the shopping malls and mega marts of Mardan. In the coming time, there will be further increase in industrial sectors; Mardan holds an important place in terms of tourism,

Provincial General Secretary of Tajran Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Zahir Shah while speaking said that Mardan is the second largest city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and there are many opportunities for trade and there are more opportunities for trade and investment in Mardan district. The “Family Festival and Expo” aims to highlight the local economic and commercial sectors. The expo and conference have an important purpose to attract investors towards the important potential investment sectors.
