LAHORE: Chairperson Child Protection Authority Sara Ahmed has suggested setting up of virtual police station for child protection like virtual police station for women.
Punjab Assembly MPA Sara Ahmad presented the resolution to the Assembly Secretariat.
It follows from the resolution that the motive behind the virtual police stations is the establishment of a dedicated virtual platform for the protection of children.
The resolution said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Punjab IG are very concerned about the issue of child abuse and are working to eradicate it.
The virtual police station will provide legal consultation and registration of complaints on issues such as child abuse and exploitation.
The resolution states that the Punjab Assembly pledges its commitment to the protection and welfare of children.
The virtual police station will provide a cooperative and safe environment for raising children.
