Islamabad: Speaker Honorable Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy strong bilateral relations based on common values, common culture, common religion, and neighboring countries.
He stressed his desire to extend parliamentary support to forge this relationship by creating synergies between energy, trade, business, and especially the private sector of the two countries.
The speaker made these comments in a meeting with the delegation of the Iranian parliament led by the Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of Iran, Mr. Mahdi Safari, and the Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam.
Emphasizing the need to facilitate cooperation in the private sector, the source said that both countries have a wide opportunity to develop trade and business by managing the border market, increasing the volume of imports and exports, solving the problem of the IPP gas pipeline, working together with Gawadar-Cahbahar. project and by bringing the two countries closer together.

The chairman of the Mejlis reaffirmed the DPR’s duty to strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries by reviving the Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) between the parliaments of the two countries and encouraging mutual visits between honorable parliament members of the two countries.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs and Diplomacy, Mahdi Safari, has congratulated Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on his successful election as Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
He said that both countries have great potential for trade, commerce, and research in the energy sector. He also said that issues related to the IPP gas project should be properly resolved while promoting cross-border trade and cooperation in the energy sector.
