After years of animosity, a peace agreement was finally reached, bringing joy, hope, and peace to the region. The tireless efforts of the Swabi Peace Jirga and Yar Hussain’s Reform Jirga led to the transformation of a long-standing feud into friendship.
The reconciliation ceremony between Rizwan Khan and Farman Khan took place after Friday prayers at the Omar Farooq Mosque in Sano Bandah, Union Council Sodher.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Imam Maulana Waqil Khan. Murad Ali Khan Baba Khel, General Secretary, conducted the stage proceedings, while Haji Muhammad Israr Kaka Yar Hussain presided over the ceremony.
Notable attendees included Malak Nawab Ali Khan Yar Hussain, President of the Peace Jirga, Mufti Dr. Anwarullah, Mufti Naveed Ali, Bakht Sher Khan Sano, Yasser Khan Sano, and Haji Johar Yar Hussain.
The local community participated in large numbers, and both parties pledged to live in harmony and brotherhood, placing their hands on the Holy Quran.
The Jirga elders hailed this initiative as a remarkable example of peace and brotherhood in the region.
