Islamabad: The Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training has decided to set up 16 state-of-the-art IT laboratories in the federal capital to impart latest skills to the youth and increase employment opportunities for them.
According to the Ministry of Education, these IT laboratories will be set up in 16 federal government level colleges located in different areas of Islamabad.
According to the details, this IT lab will offer six-month courses to students in blockchain, data science, AI and gaming.
In the first phase, the courses will be offered to around 1,000 students based on market demand.
These courses will start in the second week of May 2024,” he said.
The ministry also reported that around 3,600 students have been registered so far.
It was decided by the Federal Ministry of Education to set up this laboratory under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
It should be noted here that youth employment is on the agenda of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
