ISLAMABAD: For the impending general elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a code of conduct for the security staff.
The ECP states that the security staff would be in charge of maintaining order at the polling place, ensuring a calm atmosphere, and securely transporting the ballot papers.
A distinct code of conduct for the Pakistan Army and Civil Armed Forces will be released by the ECP.
The security staff will be used to deliver the ballots to the returning officers at the polling places and print the ballots at the printing company.

Every election-related item will be transported under the guardianship of security officials and under the observation of security personnel.
The security staff will maintain objectivity and refrain from supporting or opposing any political candidate.
