SWAT: District Police Officer (DPO) Swat Dr. Zahidullah Khan said that there will be no compromise on peace and order in Swat district and law breaking elements will be dealt with strictly. However, the prevention of street crimes in the area and against drug dealers and advertising suspects should be subject to the law.
He expressed these views during a speech at an introductory meeting of police officers in his office. Traffic warden SP Swat Habibullah Khan, ASP Ghulam Sadiq, SP Upper Swat Attaullah along with circle SDPO, SHO and other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.
“In the meeting, while reviewing the law and order situation, various administrative matters including security were discussed.
Addressing the meeting, DPO Swat said he believed in community policing. Therefore, it is necessary to take a courteous attitude towards people and use all available means to protect their life, property, honor and dignity, he added, respecting civilians coming to the authorities and police stations.
“We request them to conduct themselves with dignity and respect and timely handling of public complaints and complete legal assistance to police officers who attend the police station, become the watchword of mutual cooperation with the public and always work honestly, sincerely and passionately. .”
DPO Swat issued strict instructions to all the surveillance officers to tighten the security of the places of worship of the minority community and implement effective security arrangements for Chinese and foreign movements.
He ordered deployment of women personnel along with policemen in busy markets ahead of Eid and awareness campaigns to prevent aerial firing on moonlit nights.
“Giving directions regarding tourism, he said that since Svát valley is a tourist area and the livelihood of the people here depends on tourism. Therefore, give all possible guidance and support to the tourists who visit Svát in the tourist centers so that they come back with a positive message. “
