SWAT: A seminar regarding drug prevention and awareness in Swat, was held at Government High School Bunr Mingora under the title “Nasha se inkar, Zindagi Se Pyar” and then a walk was organized on Airport, in which civil society members including teachers and students participated.
District Police Officer (DPO) Swat Shafi Ullah Khan Gandapur participated in the seminar as a special guest. Deputy Education Officer Swat Fazal Khaliq, Principal Akram Said, teachers, students and members of Udhiana Scouts Open Group Swat also participated in the cermoney.
On reaching the school, the school administration and students warmly welcomed DPO Swat Shafi Ullah Khan Gandapur and appreciated his efforts and performance against drugs.
District Police Officer (DPO) Swat Shafi Ullah Khan Gandapur while addressing the participants of the seminar said that addiction not only makes a person morally weak but also isolates him from the society, added that .often, due to social reactions and inappropriate guidance, youths fall into the scourge of addiction and become a source of shame and disgrace to themselves and their families.
“Students and youth can play a key role in drug addiction prevention, he said ,adding that awareness about the dangers of drug use and its prevention is a common responsibility of all of us.”

He said that have students participate in positive activities and discourage drug use.
On this occasion, Principal Akram Said and other speakers while addressing on the physical and psychological harms of drugs and reiterated their commitment that they will stand by the side of Swat Police in this campaign against drugs.
“The students received appreciation from the participants by presenting an outline regarding the side effects of drugs.”
