Dow University has announced its plans for the period from 2024 to 2030, which include the integration of digital tools, online educational platforms, and telemedicine.
In a ceremony held in Karachi, Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhammad Saeed Qureshi stated that the university is taking a step forward with a plan designed to meet future demands. The plan not only incorporates acquired experiences but also focuses on addressing new challenges and adopting modern technological methods.
He mentioned that Dow University’s 5-year plan will introduce the latest technology and medical research into the curriculum, and changes will be made to the examination process, with a particular emphasis on improving research practices.
Professor Saeed Qureshi further noted that Dow University of Health Sciences is the first public health university to present a strategic plan. The strategic plan, introduced in 2018, completed its first phase in 2023, and the second phase now incorporates Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Virtual Reality to benefit both education and patient care.
