SWAT: The local dolly lift was stuck in the middle of the Swat River due to a technical fault here on Saturday at Fathepur Area of Khwazakhela Tehsil in Swat District.
“There were 4 people including three women in the dolly lift.” Officials confirmed.
According to the details, Imran and three women of his family were riding in a dolly lift from Fatehpur to Kalakot through the Swat river, when the dolly lift had a technical fault while reaching the middle of the river. As a result, the four people in the dolly lift were trapped.
According to police officials, as soon as the information was received, the police and rescue teams reached and started rescue operations.
“In the meantime, the owner of the dolly lift installed another temporary lift, reached it, removed the technical fault of the dolly lift and safely transported the trapped people.”
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Swat Dr. Qasim Ali Khan, taking strict notice of the incident, has directed the police to file an FIR against the owner of the chairlift and take legal action in view of the lack of safety standards and negligence.
