Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar on Monday said that the only way forward is dialogue to project and develop positive perceptions and remove specific misconceptions about the country.
No problem in the world can be solved without dialogue, he said in a speech at the Institute for Regional Studies, “Dialogue on Diversity: Use Pakistan’s Cultural Diversity to Promote Peace Across Borders and Borders.” “Dialogue can solve every problem.”
He said that people who preach violence and intolerance are not friends and there needs to be understanding between friends and enemies.
He said, the government is trying to promote cultural diversity and harmony in the country. “I think we have to create a positive situation here when we talk about our diversity in Pakistan and the diverse people living in Pakistan. As a government, we are fully committed to that,” he said.
He said that Pakistanis are the most misunderstood nation and there is a clear misunderstanding about the country.
He said that Pakistan is a completely different country as opposed to what the Western media portrays. “We are peaceful people, people who love peace,” he said.
He said that efforts were being made to revive Pakistan’s soft and positive image in the world by dispelling misconceptions.
He said Pakistanis are friendly people and their hospitality is known all over the world. He said, “When people leave Pakistan, they want the hospitality of Pakistanis when they are in the country.”
Through generations and time, we have learned that hospitality is our hallmark. “
The Minister said that even in international relations, Pakistan has been very consistent in this issue of peaceful coexistence.
He said, Pakistan is a good ally and does not separate from anyone unless it is met by the other party. He said that Pakistan as a nation should spread the message of tolerance, peace and harmony through its culture.
He said that the world should open up and tell the world about the local people in the right perspective.
He said one of the oldest UNESCO world heritage sites known as Dead Mountain or Mohenjo-Daro in Sindh dates back to 2500 BC. “Pakistan is not only home to these historical monuments, including the Gandhara civilization, but also one of the oldest Buddhist sites in the world, and you can find them around Islamabad”.
“If you start exploring in Islamabad and you go to the Shah Allah Ditta Cave or you go to the Margalla Hills, you can find Buddhist stupas there that represent the richness of our culture and tradition,” he said.
“We start from the indigenous people of Gilgit-Baltistan in the highlands in the north and go to the Thar desert in the south. We have the landscape and all the seasons, all the places. We are blessed. The only problem with us is that we have the landscape and all the seasons, all place. Uslatin like that, is a misunderstanding about us,” he said.
He invited the world to visit Pakistan and said that steps are being taken to create a positive image of Pakistan. “We have seen an increase in the number of tourists coming to Pakistan, especially to the north.”
The minister said that people who come to Pakistan leave with unforgettable memories, they leave with pleasant memories and their perception of Pakistan changes 180 degrees from what they believe then what they believe. “
Attaullah Tarar said that he represents 70,000 Christian voters and attends public meetings with them every Sunday, and that the main reason for solving problems is through dialogue.
He said that he called not only government officials but also people from the private sector to be ambassadors of Pakistan and bring good news to the country. “We have many different cultures, different languages, different origins and many indigenous people are still in Pakistan.”
The minister said that the government has made no effort to revive the art of indigenous people in Pakistan which is dead.
The Minister thanked all the partners, especially the Aga Khan Development System, for doing a good job for the local people in all these areas.
He said that wherever the world goes, Pakistan is given immense respect.
In a polarized environment, he said, he needs to focus on portraying and amplifying that message.
For example, the national interest, about the country’s culture, to reflect the soft image of the country, all can agree.
Tarar said that he wants to know about Pa to the people of the whole world
