LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday said democracy cannot be run by “remote control”. Expressing his thoughts, Rafique said, “Political parties have not learned anything from their mistakes. Because of the mistakes of some people, the whole political party has to bear it. The side facing the heat now also has a similar reason.” Stressing the need for political cohesion, he said: “We will have to come together to deal with foreign conspiracies.” “None of the political parties are ready to read their manifestos after they are published,” Rafique said. He said, “People feel that the fight of the founder of PTI, PML-N, and the establishment is the biggest. But Balochistan faces the biggest problem of all.” Referring to the example of India, Rafique said, “Look how India is experiencing development but is not ready to accept our entity.” “Despite being a nuclear power, our people have no roti to eat,” he said.
