The Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi Marlena, has started fundraising for her upcoming election campaign. According to Indian media, the female Chief Minister has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the state elections scheduled in February. She has appealed to the public to contribute donations for the expenses related to the elections.
Atishi Marlena has received donations amounting to 18.56 lakh Indian rupees from 422 donors so far, and she has set a target of collecting 40 lakh rupees for the campaign.
Atishi Marlena stated that people have contributed money to support the honest politics of the Aam Aadmi Party. She emphasized that they are not accepting money from big industrialists but are working for the common man.
The elections in Delhi will be held on February 5, and the results will be announced on February 8. It is worth mentioning that last year, after being released from jail, the Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned from his position and appointed Atishi Marlena as the new Chief Minister.
