ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) organized an important event titled “Countering Extremist Violence” today. The moderator of the first session was Brigadier (Rtd) Rashid Wali Janjua, while the speakers included Mr. Javed Jabbar, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, Mr. Aamir Rana and Mr. Ahmar Bilal Sufi.

An important seminar on “Countering Violent Extremism” was held today in Islamabad, with Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif as the chief guest. The event was attended by people from different walks of life, experts, researchers and students.
The purpose of the event was to highlight the growing threat of violent extremism and brainstorm effective strategies to counter it.
