UPPER DIR : Deputy Commissioner Naveed Akbar inaugurated the Monsoon Tree Plantation campaign by planting a tree at the tourist spot Hills Park in Dir. During the campaign, 900,000 trees will be planted. According to details, on Thursday, the Monsoon Tree Plantation campaign was launched at Hills Park in Dir city, in collaboration with the Forest Department. DC Naveed Akbar, ADC Aamir Ali Shah, and AAC Headquarters Ishtiaq planted a deodar tree at Hills Park, formally inaugurating the campaign, and also distributed trees among citizens.
On the occasion, Naveed Akbar told the media that 900,000 trees will be planted throughout the district during the campaign. He said that the public, heads of all government departments, and officials should participate in this tree plantation campaign and make it a success. DC Naveed Akbar said that wherever the public needs to plant trees, they should go to the Forest Department and get free trees, as 900,000 trees are available for this campaign. He said that the beauty of Dir is due to these forests and trees, so the public should make it a success and make Dir a green district.
He said that tourists come to see the beautiful natural scenery at various tourist spots in Upper Dir, and the real spirit of these places is the forests and green mountains. Naveed Akbar appealed to the public to protect these trees and forests with the Forest Department and administration.
