Al Duwadimi: Spanish rider Carles Falcon crashed during the second stage of the Dakar Rally on Sunday, and he was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Saudi Arabia with critical injuries.
The seasoned off-road biker from Tarragona was nearly finished with the high-speed race over sharp rocks and twisting sand dunes in the Saudi desert when he had an accident.

“A medical helicopter was dispatched to see to the critically injured motorbike rider as soon as another racer who was pursuing him informed the organization. According to ASO, the race organizer, the individual was taken to Al-Duwadimi hospital via helicopter.
Falcon, a rider with the Twintrail Racing Team, was ranked 76th following the opening stage on Saturday.
