Dhudial: A crackdown against beggars has been launched across the district. During open courts held at police stations in the district, citizens drew the attention of DPO Chakwal, Lieutenant Ahmed Mohiuddin, to the increasing number of beggars. Acting on his directives, immediate action was taken under the supervision of ASP Dr. Sarah Hashmi of the Saddar Circle, leading to operations in various police stations, including Dhudial, City Chakwal, Saddar Chakwal, Neela, and Kallar Kahar. As a result, 17 FIRs were registered, and several beggars were arrested.
It is noteworthy that beggars and nomads from other districts have flooded the area, many of whom are involved not only in begging but also in thefts. The public has welcomed this crackdown and stressed that it should continue to rid the people of Chakwal of these beggars.
