Islamabad: A group of participants of the 39th Human Resource Development Course organized by Dawah Academy for the officers of Pakistan Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force) visited the new campus of Islamic University (IIU) on Thursday.
The group of one-month course participants was led by Dr. Abdul Fareed Brohi, Department of Additional Education. Incharge of Protocol and Public Relations, Nasir Farid was also present at the event.
Addressing the panel of Vice President Administration, Finance and Academics, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman praised the services of the Pakistan Army. He said, Pakistani troops are the pride of the nation.
He praised the Dawa Academy for organizing important courses in Islam. He detailed the vision, history and future goals of the university. He also shared the university’s vision for development and reviewed the latest steps taken by the university for its academic excellence. Dr. Hathal Homoud Aloatibi, the president of IIUI, said that universities pay special attention to serve the community and spread the true image of Islam. He also mentioned the role of IIUI in maintaining peace and combating Islamophobia through Paigham-e-Pakistan.
Sharing his experience as an educator, Dr. Abdul Rahman informed the participants about the role of universities in building society and the importance of changing behavior through education. He also talked about the inculcation of Islamic ideas in young minds and the importance of religion as a guide in our daily lives.
Participants are very interested in university faculty, degree programs, teaching and research projects, while calling their studies at Akademi Dawah one of the most creative activities in their lives.
