KHYBER: Under the Temporary Admission Documents (TAD) treaty, conductors in export and import vehicles will be allowed to move either side of the Torkham border, custom official said on Thursday.
It is to be mentioned here that in 2019 when Covid 19 was broken across the world, due to health hazards, the Pak officials banned exit and entry of conductors in trucks and only driver was permitted to carry on the trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In this connection, a simple gathering was organized in a custom house, Torkham that was attended by the representatives of the transport union and clearing association beside officials of the custom where the data collection process of trucks was begun.
Sharing details a custom official said that data of registration of Pakistani and Afghani vehicles and details of its crew members will be collected and compiled and will be sent to the concerned embassies for approval.
The transport and clearing associations appreciated the positive initiative of the both neighboring countries and said it will have a positive impact on the Pak-Afghan trade at the border.
