South Waziristan: Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Zafar Ul Islam said on Monday that all the arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitar should be finalized and the best arrangements should also be ensured while adequate measures should be taken for security plan and sanitation.
He gave these instructions while presiding over a meeting held in his office regarding the arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitar.
In the meeting, Regional Police Officer Dera Ismail Khan Nasir Mehmood Satti, Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, South Waziristan (Upper), Additional Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan (Lower), Hospital Director DHQ, MTI DI Khan, Pesco, Halal Food and Food Safety Authority, RTA, Rescue 1122 and other relevant departments officers and representatives participated. During the meeting, a briefing was given regarding the arrangements regarding Eid-ul-Fitar by various departments.
Commissioner Dera while issuing instructions on this occasion said that all the arrangements should be finalized as well as the best management should be ensured while adequate measures should be taken for the security plan and cleanliness of the city.
He said compile report and share a plan regarding security plan and traffic management, security of all Jamia mosques and places of worship should be ensured.
Commissioner Dera further said that aerial firing and one-wheeling are dangerous and deadly practices.
He said therefore, to remedy them, not only a complete ban should be imposed, but the police department should take immediate action to ensure their remedy.
He said similarly, bus stands should be visited continuously by RTA and immediate and strict action should be taken against those who charge more than passengers.
He added that Rescue 1122 has performed well in recent times, especially, since the efforts of the department in recovering the bodies of the youth who drowned in the CRBC canal two days ago and handing them over to their families are commendable.
However, full implementation of the emergency plan should be ensured regarding Eid-Ul-Fitar as well.
He said while the establishment of a control room in the offices of Deputy Commissioners should also be implemented.
