ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir’s Address at the First Overseas Pakistanis Convention “I am deeply moved by the emotions of Pakistanis living abroad today, and I assure you that our feelings for you are even stronger,” said the Army Chief.
“You are not just ambassadors of Pakistan, but the light of Pakistan that shines across the world,” he added.
“Those who talk about brain drain should know—this is not brain drain, but brain gain, and overseas Pakistanis are the finest example of it.”
“You all have the responsibility to pass on Pakistan’s story to the next generation—the story upon which our forefathers founded this nation.”
“Do the enemies of Pakistan really believe that a handful of terrorists can decide the fate of this country?”
“Even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan or Pakistan,” he asserted.
“Balochistan is our destiny and the crown jewel of our nation.”
“As long as the proud people of this country stand with the armed forces, your army can overcome any challenge with ease.”
“Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with countless resources—we should be forever grateful.”
“Today, we are sending a clear message together: Whoever stands in the way of Pakistan’s progress, we will remove that obstacle together.”
Addressing the overseas Pakistanis, he said, “Wherever you may live, remember that your heritage stems from a noble society, a powerful ideology, and a proud civilization.”
“As Muslims and as Pakistanis, we do not fear adversity. We have never bowed before hardship, nor will we ever.”
“No harm can come to Pakistan as long as its courageous people stand united with the armed forces.”
“Our nation holds its martyrs in the highest regard. Their sacrifices are eternal, and we shall never let them be forgotten.”
“We aim to take Pakistan to the place envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam.”
“Always hold your head high with pride, for you do not belong to an ordinary country—you represent a great and powerful nation.”
“Kashmir was, is, and will always remain the lifeline of Pakistan.”
“The hearts of Pakistanis always beat in solidarity with the Muslims of Gaza.”
“Pakistan’s journey of progress continues. The question isn’t when Pakistan will develop—the real question is how fast we will advance.”
At the conclusion of his speech, the Army Chief and all participants passionately raised the slogan:
