Peshawar: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Technical Education, Industry and Commerce Abdul Karim visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical and Commerce Council in Hayatabad, Peshawar on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Special Assistant said that efforts would be made to include the functions of the Technical Education Board in the Story-Da-Pakhtunhwa programme.
TEVTA has spearheaded and is a council to improve coordination and create awareness among students and institutions about the useful diploma courses offered in various disciplines.
He also ordered to update the curriculum for various courses and diplomas and formulate a strategy to increase the financial resources of the board keeping in mind the special status and importance of the province.
He directed the board leaders to develop such an automated system for students so that they can avail the online services at home instead of at the blackboard.
He also ordered the introduction of the Board of Investment digital application to facilitate the conduct of business so that information related to the Board’s services can be verified by all.
He said he was pleased that 95 percent of the council’s systems had been digitized, but said it needed to be 100 percent automated.
Before that, he reviewed various parts of the board and reviewed the work, performance and future plans of the board.
Board Chairman Riaz accompanied by Examination Supervisor, Secretary and other officials briefed the Special Assistant.
