LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has said that she knows how to carry out the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
He was speaking at a press conference in Lahore along with Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique.
“Maryam Nawaz believes in taking practical steps and we have seen it this Eid when Punjab set a record for cleanliness this year,” the information minister said.
He also said that strict measures have been taken to accommodate passengers on this Eid.
Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique said sanitation workers are doing their duty round the clock to ensure cleanliness during Eid as seen by CM Maryam Nawaz.
“This is the first time we have banned illegal cattle markets in Punjab.”
He also said that 55,000 sanitation workers are performing their duties in hot weather during Eid.
A local government minister said 38,000 public complaints had been resolved over the three days of Eid.
“We are all employees of Nawaz Sharif and we are working as per his vision,” the minister said.
