UPPER DIR: An appreciation ceremony was held at Jirga Hall for the Civil Defense volunteers who played a vital role in extinguishing the fire in Doog Bala Bazar in Upper Dir. The ceremony was organized the District Civil Defense office.
The fire ancident was took palce in Doog Bala Bazar on 17 Sep previous week , posed a significant risk of engulfing the entire market. However, the volunteers of Civil Defense Post Warden Doog Dara Lower and Post Warden Doog Dara Upper effectively and controlled the fire.
Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Dir Upper, Dr. Yasar Ali, addressing on the ceremony at Jirga Hall Dir, he praised the Civil Defense assured and full cooperation with the volunteers.
Chief Warden of civil defence Upper Dir, Israr Yousafzai, and other volunteers has pledged that will be provide services with greater enthusiasm and speed in such incidents. They also vowed to make every individual in Upper Dir District a part of the Civil Defense Organization.
The volunteers were awarded certificates of appreciation, recognizing their selfless services during natural and man-made disasters, without any compensation, to protect lives and properties.
