New York: China has praised the establishment of a Special Protection Unit (SPU) in Islamabad to protect foreigners, especially Chinese citizens.
This appreciation took place during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Chinese counterpart Chi Anjanu in New York.
The meeting discussed the preparation of law enforcement agencies and the use of modern equipment and technology.
China’s Interior Minister also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the investigation of the Dasu case. He also appreciated the expertise and experience of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies for investigating the incident.
In the meeting, it was agreed that an advisory team from the Chinese Ministry of Interior will soon visit Pakistan and provide all possible assistance and support to local authorities for training and professional development of security agencies.
Chinese Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has been invited to attend the Global Security Forum in China in September.
