After the proceedings of provincial assemblies has started, the process of presidential and senate elections should also start. In which the elected members of assembly from the four provinces will play an important role.
It is hoped that this process will be completed soon, after which a new democratic journey will begin. According to the news published in various news outlets, preparations have been started for the presidential elections in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Strict security arrangements will be made on the occasion of presidential elections.
Arrangements have also been started for the members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for the presidential election. Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice Ibrahim Khan will serve as the presiding officer in the Assembly, while Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and members of Election Commission will also be present on this occasion.
Sources have said that the special team of the Election Commission for the presidential elections also visited the provincial assembly yesterday, while the special team of the Peshawar High Court will also visit the provincial assembly today to review the arrangements.
The Election Commission has issued a notification for the appointment of presiding officers for the presidential elections. Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court, Senate and National Assembly, Chief Justice of High Courts for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan, while Member Election Commission One for Punjab has been appointed as the presiding officer. On the other hand, after the election of Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Chief Minister in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, consideration has been started to finalize the provincial cabinet as well, but the provincial cabinet has been changed.
PTI, have reshuffled the cabinet, the portfolios of some ministers have been changed, while the portfolios of some advisors have also been changed. Sources said that the list regarding the cabinet was presented to the founding chairman of PTI, Imran khan but due to some reservations, the change in the cabinet has been approved and new ministers have been added in place of some ministers.
They are from different areas of the province including Peshawar. Arrangements have also been started for the oath taking ceremony of the expected ministers. The oath taking ceremony of nominated Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur will also be held at Governor House Peshawar while arrangements have been started for the expected ceremony. The ceremony is likely to be held on Saturday or Sunday. The caretaker provincial government has ended after six months. The caretaker provincial ministers have already vacated their official residences and returned all privileges.
The caretaker set-up will end after the oath taking ceremony of nominated Chief Minister-elect Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur. Meanwhile, the provincial government will have to make a budget for ongoing expenses as the four-month provincial budget created by the caretaker government is finished.
It has been decided in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to approve the current budget for two months. The budget presented by the caretaker provincial government has expired on February 29.
Now the provincial government has not only to approve the budget for the next two months but also the responsibility of the new budget in June has also fallen on its head. For which the provincial government has to plan quickly, it will not only allocate funds for the ongoing projects of the previous government, but also plan for new projects, for which Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will definitely have prepare a plan of action in consultation with the central and senior leadership.
So that full attention can be given to the unresolved problems of the province which have been going on since the previous government period in which no progress could be made due to the Corona epidemic and subsequent political issues. The Chief Minister will have to consider all these things.
