Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa said on Friday that CDA will start digitalization of E-Registration and Property Transfer services from August 14, 2024.
Presiding over the meeting on digitization, he said that the e-registration initiative will facilitate transactions such as property purchase, sale, gift, power of attorney, mortgage and other services. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and other CDA members attended the meeting.
Chief Randhawa said digitization aims to eliminate fraud and fraud in property transactions. The chief informed that the scanning and indexing of records in the project will be completed in two months. In addition, map digitization is included in the scope of work.
He informed that the scope of work includes digitizing historical records and correcting inconsistencies found during the process.
Data scanning and logging will be done, as well as the digitization of historical and old records that will be corrected at the same time. This initiative provides direct access to information enabling people to access property records.
Additionally, land records will be integrated with the NADRA system as part of this process.
In addition, GIS mapping will be incorporated into digitization efforts to improve the accuracy and accessibility of land records. This will allow expatriate Pakistanis to verify the status of their property before engaging in transactions.
Overall, this initiative reflects CDA’s commitment to modernize and streamline property services for the benefit of the community.
