Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a six-month ‘CDA Internship Programme-2024’ for fresh graduates to undertake paid internships in various departments of the organization.
“The pilot scheme will start from June 2024 to enable young graduates to gain experience and start professional careers in various fields,” a CDA official told APP news agency.
He said the successful applicant will receive a monthly stipend of $50,000. 40,000 for a six-month internship in various CDA departments. Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (04 years) in the last 3 years from a government recognized institution in subjects like Business Administration / Management, Marketing and Computer Science.
According to the official, the candidates who are waiting for the result are not eligible for the internship.
Regarding the application process, he said that only online applications will be accepted and the form can be accessed and filled at https://apps.cda.gov.pk/Jobs/Internship.

Officials said applicants can apply online within 15 days from the date of publication of the advertisement and candidates will not be allowed TA / DA.
As for the selection process, he said candidates with consistently excellent academic records will be nominated and SSC, HSSC and Bachelor’s or equivalent marks will be given a weightage of 30 marks out of a total of 90 marks, which should be 10 marks. provided for the interview.

The number of employees, placement, appointment and termination of internships will be at the discretion of the CDA. However, the trainees can request cancellation of the internship on 15 days notice, but the internship completion certificate will not be issued in such cases, he said.
The official said that applications of students who have done internships under the CDA-2023 Internship Program will not be entertained or entertained.
Apprenticeships are not permanent or extended, and do not confer employment rights/rules, he said. Experienced staff will only be entitled to the one-time stipend mentioned above and will be governed by CDA rules on discipline and confidentiality.
