Canadian authorities have announced an increase in fees for temporary residency applications, which will require applicants to pay the revised charges. Starting December 1, Canada will introduce higher application and processing fees for various temporary residency applications. This will affect tourists, students, and workers entering the country or seeking to extend their stay.
The fee changes will also apply to individuals seeking to restore their temporary resident status or obtain permission to re-enter Canada.
However, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has not yet disclosed the revised fee amounts. Applicants are advised to prepare for the increase and ensure the correct fee is paid when submitting their applications.
For online applications to Canada, fees must be paid immediately. Applicants should confirm that the correct amount has been paid before submission to avoid delays. For applications sent via email, there may be delays between the time the application is sent and when IRCC receives it.
