Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muzamil Aslam said on Tuesday that the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is incurring an annual loss of $4 billion due to incomplete construction and fare subsidies.
He said that currently the BRT project is running a deficit and has directed the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) to speed up the construction work at Chamkani and Hayatabad shopping malls to increase revenue.

According to an official document of Trans Peshawar, the government has incurred a loss of more than $300 million due to the incomplete development of the commercial area and further delays may affect the project.
