INDONESIA: In a unique incident in Indonesia, a young man found out two weeks later that his bride was actually a man despite dating for a year.
Men and women have been connecting, messaging and even meeting in person on the Instagram social media platform.
When the couple meet, the husband always wears a veil so he can’t show his face.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on April 12 after the 26-year-old said he had no family.
According to the South China Morning Post, every time the girlfriend tried to get close, her husband said she was not holding back or was unwell, but after two weeks, her boyfriend became suspicious.
The woman also wore a niqab at home, raising the boy’s suspicions. The man found out that his wife’s parents were alive and informed him that the bride, known as ESH, was indeed a man.
ESH’s parents didn’t know their son was in a relationship. He was then arrested.
The source reported that ESH married the young man to steal his wealth. He was put behind bars and accused of fraud.
