After Shanghai Organization meeting in Pakistan the BRICS summit held in Kazan Russia is being considered as good omen for economic stability in the region. The Kremlin has already identified it as important for advancing multilateralism and forging an alternative path for emerging economies besides Russia is rightly proud of the summit’s success.
There is no doubt that this alliance depths Russia against the West, whose hegemonic designs are now being openly questioned. Especially in the context of wars epidemics and unfair financial system, this effort of Russia is seen as the best alternative to the Western system. Indeed by bringing together leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Narendra Modi, Rejab Tayap Erdogan, Cyril Ramaphosa and Massaud Pezheshkian and to welcome UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Moscow, it will inevitably challenge the Western-dominated system. what is It remains to be seen how this new block emerges in terms of effectively proposing a policy designed to deal with the insurgencies and hatreds prevalent in the contemporary world order.
It should be remembered that the agenda of the three-day meeting held in Russia is to review the situation in the region and devise a system to respond to the growing conflict in the Middle East under the leadership of BRICS. On the occasion of BRICS, the Russian President Putin in an important point, has sealed the sea that his country is not isolated from the world and is ready to forge a new nexus in international relations. It is able to work with the world despite a controversial and controversial military campaign in Ukraine.
Certainly, Russia’s success worries the US and its allies to the core, thus making the US another rival alliance in Asia will have to face. BRICS expansion is inevitable in terms of economic and demographic weight as Russia faces a challenge to deal with less trade between the countries to compete globally with the G7 and the West, which has increased its influence on international finance having with half the world’s population and 42 percent of GDP, the bloc’s capabilities are dying.
It is therefore imperative that BRICS member states stop playing in the gallery and dispel the impression that Beijing and Moscow has no ambitions behind this but the purpose of this alliance is to improve the economic condition of the region.
The moment it emerges as a forum of consensus to meet the tasks of mitigating climate change, eradicating poverty and ending war-torn regions, it is sure to bring the West’s monopoly to its knees.
Pakistan also needs to take advantage of this opportunity and should openly participate in such gatherings as a result to join the race of development with the region. It should be remembered that Pakistan’s policy has changed since ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Russia and now it is following a policy of neutrality and national interests. This is an absolutely correct policy but now is the time to openly express this policy. Pakistan should now not only start a dialogue with the neighboring country India and Iran but also establish its influence in Russian states besides keeping itself away from their conflicts so that the country will have the free trade for the improvement of his economy with these independent countries.
Unless Pakistan makes open trade agreements with the countries of the region, it will have to depend on loans which may have become impossible for it. Therefore policy makers should not miss such opportunities in the region and plan to take full advantage of them.
If Pakistan only resolves its problems with Iran, it will get rid of its energy problems in a few years and many other such projects could be started.
