Senior Pakistani actress Asma Abbas has advised parents to train their sons to do their own tasks.
Sharing a video on her social media account, the actress said that in Pakistan, our men won’t even drink a glass of water; even if the water is right in front of them, they still won’t drink it. She contrasted this with foreign countries, where children as young as 18 are trained to do things for themselves, work, and earn.
She added that in our country, the situation is different, where boys lie around and their parents don’t let them do anything, often saying, “He’s still young, he’ll do it later, it’s time to play, or he’s still studying.”
The actress continued, saying, “Study, but also work at the same time. If I had the chance, I would send my sons at the age of 18 to study while also working. We have spoiled our children with excessive love and affection, and mothers end up doing everything for them. It’s too late now, and it’s time for boys to be trained and do their own work.”
