In the locally organized camp of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) managed by a private bank in Rabat, there is a severe lack of facilities.
Women receiving quarterly financial aid are faced with hardships as the camp lacks drinking water and proper seating arrangements. There are no designated areas for restrooms or prayer facilities for women and their children, who wait for hours under the open sky.
Due to the shortage of staff and counters by BISP, women are facing severe difficulties.Only seven camps have been set up across the district to serve over 50,000 deserving women.Women have urged the Deputy Commissioner of Lower Dir, the provincial government, and the federal government to take immediate action, ensuring that the district administration holds the private bank and BISP accountable for providing adequate facilities.
