Once a painter got a contract to paint a boat. The painter was a hardworking and sincere person.
While painting the boat, he saw a hole in the boat. He repaired the hole too despite it was not his job.
After completing the work in the evening, he received his remuneration and left for home.
The painter was called by the owner of boat two days later and paid a huge sum of money.
He inquired for what he was being paid such a huge sum of money despite he has already received his payment for painting the boat.
The boat owner told him that very next day of boat paint, his sons took the boat to the river. But few hours later, he realized that there was a hole in the boat and he was worried about lives of his children.
However, when he saw the children returning back, laughing and smiling, he was pleasantly surprised. He told the painter that this money is not a reward for your kindness, but a small expression of my love for you…
This is a lesson for those who often say that this not my job. In your life, many such things will come and you will witness many such works which are not part your duty or your job.
