Islamabad: Federal Minister for Industry and Production and National Food Security and Research Rana Tanwar Hussain met with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Hazar Farhadov. In the meeting, issues of mutual interest were discussed between the two dignitaries.
Federal Minister Rana Tanwar Hussain said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan have strong brotherly relations and said that Pakistan emphasizes the importance of its relations with Azerbaijan. He said that increasing investment for industrial development, manufacturing and agriculture is the current government’s priority and invited Azerbaijani investors to explore the investment potential in Pakistan.
He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s views and direction on industry and agriculture were given special attention. We get a lot of foreign exchange every year because of agriculture,” he said. Practical steps are taken to increase agricultural exports to earn foreign exchange and ensure food security.
The Ambassador stressed the need for cooperation in areas of interest and said Pakistan has huge investment opportunities in agriculture, industry and manufacturing.
