PESHAWAR: The Awam Express service which was closed due to floods has been restored after 16 months.
The resumption of the service has sent a wave of happiness among the passengers who say that the service is affordable and comfortable in this era of inflation.
For the convenience of the people the Awam Express train service has been restored after a month. The Awam Express is cheaper than the normal transport but it is also comfortable and equipped with facilities. Passengers reached Karachi for only 4 thousand rupees in this era of inflation.
In August 2022 due to the washing away of 350 km of train track where other train services were stopped the same Awam Express service was also stopped.After 16 months there was a wave of joy among the passengers when the service was restored.Passengers only reached Karachi for 4 thousand rupees.
700 passengers will reach Lahore in 10 coaches in Awam express train service where more coaches will join them and go to Karachi.Passengers are being provided facilities from this train service so a lot of income is also expected from it.
A total of 5 trains run from Peshawar out of which 4 have already been restored.
Passengers thanked the railway authorities for restoring the Awam Express service.
