RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan, while conducting 32 operations across the country, managed to recover over 1215 kg of drugs and arrested 36 accused during the last week, ANF Headquarters spokesperson said.
He informed that ANF also busted a group of drug dealers and arrested eight accused in a successful operation.
He said raids were carried out simultaneously in three major cities of the country and gang members were arrested.
Gang members were involved in selling CBD oil vapors through online platforms, he added.
Eight people have been arrested in a crackdown on an interprovincial group of drug dealers involved in the distribution of vapes.
During the operation, vapors filled with hash oil, CBD oil, THC oil and cigarette rolls made from hemp were recovered.
In addition, marijuana oil, opium and other illegal materials including marijuana were also seized.
The accused were involved in illegal activities under the pretext of selling natural products and medicines.
E-commerce platforms were used to supply the drugs, the spokesperson informed.
The accused were importing prohibited items from foreign countries through trucking companies.
ANF works to enforce government regulations and standard operating procedures for online businesses, he said.
The spokesman urged parents to discourage teenagers from using vapes.
He also asked citizens to keep a close eye on their children’s use of online shopping platforms and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.
