Islamabad: The Ambassador of Zimbabwe, H.E. Titus M.J Abu Basutu, visited the CDA Headquarters on Tuesday. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa welcomed and greeted the Ambassador of Zimbabwe.
The areas of mutual interests were discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador of Zimbabwe appreciated the efforts of CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa for his efforts for beautification and uplift of Islamabad. He particularly expressed his interests in the solid waste management initiative in the city. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that high reputed companies would be invited for solid waste management in Islamabad.
The Ambassador of Zimbabwe was also briefed on the Safari Park project in Islamabad. The Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa told that the establishment of the Safari Park would boost tourism in Islamabad. He mentioned that the Safari Park would have a capacity for more than 5,000 animals, while more than 2,000 animals to be brought in the first phase.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that the embassy of Embassy should play its role in procuring animals for the Safari Park from Zimbabwe especially Big 5.
The Ambassador of Zimbabwe proposed relocating the embassy from outside area to the Diplomatic Enclave. He assured that the issue of relocating the embassy of Zimbabwe to the Diplomatic Enclave would be resolved soon through the Foreign Office.
