Islamabad: H.E. Ahmed Jawad A.A. Palestinian Ambassador Rabei gave a courtesy call to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister was assisted by Foreign Minister Sen Muhammad Ishaq Dar, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Minister.
The Prime Minister thanked the Palestinian President Dr. Mahmoud Abbas for his warm congratulatory letter after his re-election. He said Pakistan has historic and close ties with the State of Palestine and has supported the cause of Palestine at the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other international platforms.
The Prime Minister strongly condemned the Israeli atrocities that have been taking place in Gaza since October 7, 2023, and demanded an immediate end to Israel’s genocidal war against the brave and innocent Palestinian people. He deeply mourned the tragic deaths of more than 32,000 Palestinians, including 17,000 children, as well as more than 70,000 Palestinians due to the brutal actions of Israeli security forces.
The prime minister recalled the interim judgment of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the case filed by South Africa and said that Pakistan had verbally expressed its support for Palestine at the ICJ.

Welcoming the adoption of UNSC Resolution 2728, the Prime Minister said that Israel has continued to ignore and flagrantly violate the resolution.
He assured the Palestinian Ambassador that he would continue to raise his voice in every international forum in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Pakistan has so far sent seven aid packages to the people of Gaza. Another tranche is scheduled after Eid.
