Dera Ismail Khan: Police spokesperson has said that preparations have been completed to conduct the by-election in Dera Ismail Khan in 44-NA in a peaceful environment.
In this regard, in a statement issued by Commissioner Dera Division Zafar Ul Islam and Regional Police Officer Dera Nasir Mahmood Satti, steps have been taken to ensure the conduct of elections in a peaceful environment, while in touch with all the concerned bodies,
The spokesperson said police have completed security arrangements and along with the police, other security agencies will also perform duties for the by-elections, 358 polling stations have been set up in NA-44 Dera Ismail Khan, out of which 03 have been declared highly sensitive, 221 sensitive and 134 normal.
Officials said in statement 4000 police officers and officials will perform security duties at these polling stations.
Officials said ladies police along with lady searchers have been deployed for security at women polling stations, along with them, mobile patrol teams of QRF and RRF will also perform security duties.
A police spokesperson told that a complete ban has been imposed on the display of weapons.
Officials said special blockades have been established to maintain law and order situations, indiscriminate action will be taken against the elements who violate the law and harm the public order.
According to the police spokesman, a control room has been set up in the range police office for establishing law and order situations and timely response.
