Islamabad: Lahore DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi has finally taken charge as the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad.
After starting work, the newly appointed IG Islamabad Rizvi arrived at the police station and was welcomed by the police.
The Islamabad IG was honored at the Martyr’s Memorial before officially assuming office.
Ali Nasir Rizvi reiterated the task of combating criminal elements in Islamabad as his primary responsibility. It may be noted that Rizvi’s notification as Inspector General (IG) in Islamabad was issued on March 30.
After the departure of Ali Nasir Rizvi, Faisal Kamran took over as DIG Operations Lahore.
Starting his career as ASP in 2009, Kamran has worked in various capacities including ASP in Gulbahar and ASP in University College as well as SP in Peshawar.
Muhammad Faisal worked at the Prime Minister’s Building for 15 years of his career. In Lahore, SP works as a Security, Mobile and Counter-insurgency force. He was also SSP Rawalpindi and DPO Sialkot and Sargodha. During his career, he was appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) four times.
