Rohit Shetty dropped a video on his official Instagram account to commemorate the occasion. The poster of Singham appears along with a montage of nostalgic moments from their filmmaking journey. Shetty wrote, “13 years of Singham, 33 years of brotherhood @ajaydevgn #SinghamAgain.”
Rohit Shetty was a young assistant director working on Ajay’s debut film, Phool Aur Kaante (1991). Shetty assisted on several of Devgn’s films, including Suhaag, Haqeeqat, Pyaar Toh Hona Tha, and Raju Chacha. This period of working side-by-side undoubtedly fostered a deep understanding and respect for each other’s talents.
In 2003, Shetty finally took the director’s chair for his debut film, Zameen. Who better to lead the cast than his old friend Ajay Devgn? This marked the beginning of a successful collaboration that has delivered numerous hits, including the iconic Singham franchise.
Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are all set to reunite for Singham Again, which will be released during Diwali 2024. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff along with extended appearances of Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh.
