De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel to the 2019 film De De Pyaar De, has officially started shooting in Mumbai. It has been confirmed that the Bollywood Hungama team was shot with the traditional Mahurat Puja ceremony of the team. Actor Anil Kapoor made a special impact on the occasion by gracing the show and giving the first round of applause.
De De Pyaar De 2 will be directed by director Anshul Sharma, compared to Akiv Ali, who directed the first series. Production duties are shared by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
Devgn plays a man in his 50s who falls for a woman in her 20s played by Singh. Tabu’s portrayal of Devgn’s ex-wife adds a layer of complexity to the story. While there is no confirmation yet for Taboo’s sequel, rumors suggest that he may reprise his role.
De De De Pyaar De 2 is scheduled to release on May 1, 2025.
