TIANJIN: Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly common in China’s primary and secondary school classrooms, bringing a modern approach to education by fostering scientific thinking and innovation skills among students.
Tianjin Huiwen High School in northern China is one of the leaders in the city to integrate AI into education. In February, it was named one of the 184 AI Education Bases by the Ministry of Education.
“Keep your speed and avoid obstacles,” said Ning Zhaohong, a technology project consultant and head of the school’s innovation center, leading students in a robotics lesson.
The project started about seven years ago. In 2017, Ning founded a club called Huimin Singles to enhance students’ extracurricular experiences and create opportunities for AI enthusiasts.
“In the beginning, most of the club members participated in the robot competition”.
