Karachi: The Sindh government has set up an Emergency Agriculture Department to help the farmers due to heavy rains in the province and leaves of all agricultural workers and employees have been canceled.
On the orders of Sindh Agriculture Minister Sardar Muhammad Bagh Mahar, the leaves of all officers and employees of the Sindh Agriculture Department have been canceled and the employees have been ordered to be on alert.
The Sindh Agriculture Spokesperson said that DG Agriculture is part of the DG Emergency Relief team and Research, Engineering Wing, and Farm Management Wing.
He further said that the Agriculture Assistant will go door to door to inform the farmers about the safety measures.
All divisional and district officers of the department will be present in their offices and will help the farmers.
