Government officials emphasize that a Pakistan-India clash is not possible without Pakistan’s presence and that profits are not solely because of India but also due to Pakistan’s participation. The federal government has also suggested inviting another team if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan. The PCB has been directed to engage ICC officials and communicate with other cricket boards as well.

According to government sources, the federal government has advised the PCB to avoid playing against India in any future ICC or ACC events if India does not visit Pakistan. It should be noted that there are rumors circulating about the Indian team’s non-participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy, though the BCCI has yet to make an official announcement.

A few days ago, the popular cricket website Cricinfo claimed that the Indian board had informed the ICC about the matter, while yesterday, the ICC also informed the Pakistan Cricket Board, which has led to the possibility of Pakistan making a firm decision.
